As a UN NGO Representative for the International Caucus of the Women’s Caucus for Art (WCA), Professor Di Giorgio engages with other women artists, many of whom address global and humanitarian issues through their work. Her UN experience allows her to share educational resources and to enrich her classes, especially those that incorporate Service-Learning and Global and Diversity Learning (GDL).

As Internship Coordinator for the Department of Art and Design, Professor Di Giorgio works in conjunction with the Office of Career Services to place students in internships that have included the Queens Museum of Art, the Queens Courier, the QCC Art Gallery, the Kupferberg Holocaust Research Center and Archives (KHRCA), and other community sponsors. In addition, she has personally sponsored painting students wishing to take the Artist Apprenticeship course.

To apply for an internship, students must have completed at 24 credits, including at least 5 credits in art. Professor Di Giorgio may be reached at [email protected] and at 718-281-5691. Her office is located in the C Building, Room 104A.
