Partnership, corporation, and manufacturing accounting covering: organization; operations; equity, earnings; dividends; long-term obligations; investments; preparation and analysis of various financial statements, including Statement of Cash Flows; and the use of accounting in the solution of managerial problems and decision making.

Course-specific student learning outcomes:
This course is the second half of a one-year course of introductory accounting to fulfill the needs of those students planning to specialize in accounting and other business curricula, and those in other disciplines who elect this course.
The material is covered through lectures, discussions, exercises, problem solving, workbook assignments, use of worksheets and financial statement preparation.
Students will achieve the following course objectives:

Understand accounting, analysis of transactions, and summarization of transactions for partnership ownership.

Understand Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), analysis, issuance of all types of corporate stocks, issuance of dividends, and financial statement presentation for corporations

Understand accounting for debt financing.

Analysis and preparation of corporate Statement of Cash Flows.

Utilize financial statement analysis techniques for profitability, liquidity, and solvency.
