Course Description in college catalog:

Introduction to algorithm development and computer programming for business applications in higher-level languages. Problem-solving and hierarchy chart development; flowcharting and pseudocode fundamentals. Input and output statements, conditional and unconditional control statements, the case structure, looping statements, string and numeric functions, arrays, sequential files.

At the completion of this course students will:

1. Create a Graphical User Interface and program in Visual Basic.

2. Create and manipulate data and controls via event driven programming.

3. Create simple programs providing solutions to business needs in an efficient and user friendly interface.

Use technical tools and analytical reasoning to implement solutions to business problems by managing operating system and networking software and creating a secure computer environment.
