Bio:
Professor Dennihy’s research and teaching interests focus on composition, pedagogy, language and literacy studies, and multi-ethnic U.S. literatures. She has published essays and reviews in book collections and journals such as Teaching English in the Two-Year College, Teaching American Literature, MELUS and Southern Studies, and is also a columnist for the higher education news site Inside Higher Ed.
At Queensborough, Professor Dennihy teaches composition, Introduction to Literature, and the American Literature Survey: Civil War-Present, as well as partially online courses. Teaching is Professor Dennihy’s favorite aspect of the profession—she loves working and learning with students.
