About The Transfer 550 Program

The Transfer 550 Program focuses on your fast-track journey as a CJA student to transition to John Jay College. We will provide financial incentives while you are at the community college for transfer activities that you complete. After you finish your associate’s degree and transfer to John Jay College, you will redeem your earnings by participating in an internship or using your funds to take a class.*

Transfer 550 Program Requirements:

  • Be in good academic standing (GPA=2.0 or higher)
  • Must be a CUNY Justice Academy track student
  • Complete activities to earn 550 for your fund including the reflection moments assigned to each activity

 

Transfer 550 Benefits:

  • Academic acceleration
  • Career advancement opportunities such as micro-internship placements
  • Summer-class funding.
  • Earn between $550 to $1,100 for completing activities
  • One-on-one support as you transition to John Jay.
