Comprises a variety of small instrumental and/or vocal ensembles. Students rehearse and perform music selected from Classical, Gospel, Broadway, Pop, Jazz and Contemporary styles.

Methods by which student learning will be assessed and evaluated; describe the types of methods to be employed; note whether certain methods are required for all sections:

Each coaching will be evaluated and graded on preparation and satisfactory demonstration of assigned material for each member. Students are expected to attend all classes and follow closely to the announcement of dates for midterm, final exams, required performances and concert attendance. Professor reserves the rights to schedule and change the abovementioned requirement at any time.Final grade will consist of the following components:

Lesson Grade Average    70%

Exams Grade                   30%

Examination: All members of students enrolled in this ensemble course must perform a midterm and final exams. The instructor will determine exam content in consultation with the ensemble prior to the final examination date.

Each of the group is required to perform piece(s) learned from the semester and approved by the professor for at least 5 minute in length. Personal skill, ensemble collaboration, accuracy, style presentation and fluency are observed. The one concert attendance has to be a concert that involves the chamber ensemble group in any genre. You have to keep the concert ticket stub and program to show your attendance to be taken at least one week before the last of the class for this semester. The attendance is considered as an assignment. Notice that, every week, you receive a grade for your practice assignment when meeting with the professor. Therefore the 60% of your grade is based on your weekly performance and practices. Midterm is 15%, Final is 15% and Attendance is 10%.
