Lainie Kazan, award-winning movie, television and Broadway actress, is also a popular cabaret singer who will soon be starring in the much anticipated sequel My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2, to be released just days before she appears live at QPAC in Lanie Kazan and Dick Capri on Sunday, April 3 at 3:00 PM.

Ms. Kazan embodies many of the attributes of a true entertainer -- an artist who touches the lives of diverse audiences in virtually every area of performance. Ms. Kazan first gained success as a young actress and singer as the understudy for Barbra Streisand’s lead role as Fanny Brice in Broadway's Funny Girl. Her popularity attracted film directors and producers, leading her quickly to further success on Broadway and eventually the silver screen. After watching her coo through ballads and belt like a sassy blues woman at San Francisco's Fairmont Hotel, an astonished Francis Ford Coppola offered her a plum role in the film One from the Heart.

Once her outstanding talent was revealed on stage and screen, she became the "Chanteuse" of her native New York, with nightclub stints and guest appearances on virtually every top variety and talk show in network television, including an unparalleled 26 appearances on The Dean Martin Show.

Also appearing with Ms. Kazan at QPAC is stand-up comedian Dick Capri, who got his start in the Catskills and has since taken the comedy world by storm. A Comedy Hall Of Fame inductee, Dick Capri uses his Borscht Belt style humor and Italian heritage to mix comedy and mime.  Dick Capri is one of comedy's true treasures.

“What fun we have in store for you!  First to see one of the leading ladies of comedy on TV and in the movies perform live and then to bear witness to the comedy stylings of the great Dick Capri”  said Susan Agin, Executive and Artistic Director of QPAC. “Ms. Kazan’s electrifying presence on stage will remind audiences why her understudy role for Barbra Streisand launched such a stupendous career, and Mr. Capri’s unique brand of humor will prove once again that he is one of New York’s own ‘Kings of Comedy!’”
