Notes:
- A grade of "B" or better is required in one course in EACH of the NYS Core Areas (English, Social Studies (Social Sciences and History), Math, and Physical Science).
- A grade of "B" or better is required in ENGL-101 or ENGL-102.
- A grade of "B" or better is required in EDUC-101.
- The following Liberal Arts courses are required pre-requisites in the program for transfer: PH-101, HIST-127, HIST-128, MA-303, and MUS-210.
- EDUC-101, EDUC-230 and MUS-210 are approved CUNY Gateway courses into the Education major.
- No grade lower than a "C" is acceptable in the program and is not transferable.
Additional Notes: All students must successfully complete two (2) writing-intensive classes (designated "WI") at Queensborough Community College to fulfill degree requirements.

Queens College Program Requirements
- Grade of "B" in at least one course in each of the NYS core areas: English Language Arts, Social Studies, Mathematics and Science.
- Liberal Arts courses may not be taken with the P/NC option.
- Documentation of 100 hours of experience with children.
- No more than nine credits remaining outside of the concentration requirements.
- Formal submission of an Application for Admission to the Elementary and Childhood Education Department by the specified deadline.
- Declaration of an appropriate Liberal Arts & Sciences concentration.
- Pathways College Option: All students transferring from Queensborough Community College to Queens College are required to complete their general education by taking two College Option courses in residency at Queens College, one each in the areas of Literature and Language.
- Transfer students must complete one Writing Intensive course in residence at Queens College. Students may not elect P/NC grading option for the Writing Intensive units.
