Associate in Applied Science (A.A.S.) in Cybersecurity
Cybersecurity is an area of computer technology that is focused upon the protection of electronic data and data services from malicious attacks. This field addresses a global concern for the secure management, preservation, and delivery of verified digital information. The Cybersecurity A.A.S. degree program provides students with an applied understanding of the fundamentals of securing computer networks, operating systems, cloud technologies, computer programming, and ethical hacking. Elective courses offer students the option to take advanced courses in one or more of these areas. Laboratory courses will take place in computer networking classrooms which are purposely designed and equipped for skill development. This program prepares students to obtain industry certifications and entry level employment in Cybersecurity, Information Security, DevOps, Cloud, and Information Technology. Graduates of the program may seek immediate employment or continue their education at certain four-year schools offering related Baccalaureate degree programs.
