Summer Program for High School Students at QCC
Queensborough Community College Announces a New Summer Program for High School Students
QCC is excited to introduce a summer program designed for highly motivated high school students entering their junior or senior year. This program offers students the unique opportunity to get an early start on their college journey by enrolling in college-level courses during the summer while taking advantage of discounted tuition rates.
Students who participate in QCC's Summer High School Program can:
- Earn college credit while still in high school.
- Apply earned credits toward a degree at QCC or transfer your credits to any other college.
- Enhance their high school profile to gain a competitive edge when applying to colleges and universities.
- Save money with lower tuition rates while getting a head start on college coursework.
This is a fantastic opportunity for students to gain valuable experience, challenge themselves academically, and prepare for their future success in higher education.
Summer 2025 Available Summer Sessions:
July 8th to July 31st
July 8th to August 7th
Requirements and Eligibility:
- Completion of 10th grade
- Overall GPA of 80 or higher with an ELA Regents score of 75 or higher and 70 or higher on a Math Regents exam
- Students applying from Regents exempt high schools, or Juniors who have not yet taken the English Language Arts Regents and/or a Math Regents exam must have an overall GPA of 85 or higher
- Recommendation from school counselor or a teacher
- All students must meet course prerequisites when applicable
- Parental consent form required
- Students taking 6 or more credits will be required to submit immunization records (proof of MMR only)
How to Apply:
- Submit the Summer Program for High School Students at QCC application
- Submit the Parent/Guardian Consent Form
- Submit a current high school transcript by uploading it to your application
- Upload a letter of recommendation to your application from a guidance counselor or a teacher indicating your ability to do college level course work
- Pay a $65 non-refundable application fee
- Pay tuition and fees after course registration

Tuition rates for Summer Program for High School Students:
Students in the Summer for High School Students Program can take advantage of a tuition discount at the following rates:
In-City Resident: $178.50 per credit / 3 credit course = $535.50
In-State Residents without certificate of residency: $225.25 per credit / 3 credit course $675.75
Other student and technology fees may apply
Students living in Nassau, Suffolk and other counties may qualify for in-city tuition rates. A completed Certificate of Residency must be completed by the County Clerk’s office and submitted to the Bursar Office. For more information regarding tuition rates and residency requirements click here.
