The Academic Senate Committee on Academic Development/Elective Academic Programs met on October 28, 2020 at 12:00 pm in Virtual Zoom

Business:

The meeting was called to order at 12:00pm

  1. Committee Meeting Minutes September 16, 2020 was approved.

 

  1. Welcomed to new ADC member, Professor Mark Ulrich.

 

  1. Student Evaluation of Faculty (PNET) form was reviewed by the committee members. Faculty voiced their concerns on

 

  1. Questions not being appropriate to all forms of class presentation
  2. Students not having appropriate choice as an answer, when questions are not verbalized per course form.
  3. Faculty as well as students not having experience in online classes
  4. For the time being adding of “not applicable” to as answer choice

It was decided that faculty will send an email to voice their concerns and suggestions. Temporary approval of the PNET form will take place through email. If approved the temporary approval will be presented in the Faculty Senate meeting in November.

  1. Committee on Accessibility will be having a workshop on November 19, 2020. Possibly work with the committee.
  2. Accessibility Committee Presentation in Faculty Executive Committee will take place in the November Faculty Senate Meeting.
  3. Must confirm with Dr. Pullin what our responsibilities are for Elective programs.
  4. Review of committee charges – will continue in November meeting.
