The Academic Senate Committee on Academic Development/Elective Academic Programs met on September 29, 2018 at 2:00 pm in M 344A


Committee Members in Attendance:

Tirandai Hemraj-Benny (Chairperson); Rezan Akpinar (Co-chair); Merlinda Drini (Faculty); David Pham (Faculty); Susan Riekert (Faculty); Ilse Schrynemakers (Faculty); Anuradha Srivastava (Faculty); Jodi Van Der Horn-Gibson (Faculty)

Business:

The meeting was called to order at 2:00 pm

1. The annual report for 2017-2018 was reviewed by the committee members.

2. The Chairperson updated the committee members on the status of updating the “A Guide for Committee on Academic Development /Elective Academic Programs Members.”

3. Committee members were asked by the chairperson to volunteer to serve on two sub-committees of the ADC.

  • Sub-committee on Promoting and Arranging Lectures and Workshops: Susan Riekert, Ilse Schrynemakers and Anuradha Srivastava
  • Sub-committee on Revising the Student Evaluation of Faculty Form: Rezan Akpinar, Merlinda Drini Prelvukaj, David Pham and Tirandai Hemraj-Benny

 There was a discussion on the tasks of each sub-committee.

4. The next meeting was scheduled for Wednesday, October 3, 2018, at 2:00 pm in S-316.

The meeting was adjourned at 3:30 pm.
