The Academic Senate Committee on Admissions Committee met on October 12, 2018 at 10 am


Committee Members in Attendance:

Dr. Carol Alleyne, New Student Engagement

Dr. Jason Demas, Health, Physical Education & Dance

Liaisons in Attendance:

Business:

The meeting was called to order at 10 a.m.

  1. Discussion among committee members:

    1. Minutes from the previous meeting were approved unanimously.

    2. Discussion on limiting the change of grade availability to two years. Committee does not support the proposal due to large amount of WU's and the amount of applicants who reapply after the two-year mark.

  2. Appeals for Reinstatement

    1. The members of the committee reviewed:

      (37) Degree student records

      (0) Non-degree student records

      (0) NP-AAS/NS-AAS student records

      A total of (37) Student records

THE FOLLOWING ACTIONS WERE TAKEN:

DEGREE

(25) Students approved re-admissions with conditions for the Spring semester.

(9) Students denied re-admissions for the Spring semester.

(3) Student's application deferred based on CCS Committee's decision.

(0) Student's application held for more documentation.

(0) Student's application referred to graduation audit.

NON DEGREE

(0) Students approved re-admissions with conditions for the _____semester.

(0) Students denied re-admissions for the _____semester.

(0) Student's application deferred based on CCS Committee's decision.

NURSING
