Business
- Minutes from 3-20-24 meeting were approved unanimously prior to this meeting, over email.
- The meeting was called to order at 2pm in A 204 and via Zoom (Hybrid).
- New members, Kristen Hoffman and Aine O’Rouke, were welcomed to the committee and given an overview of the roles of committee members and meeting times. Types of documents for review (e.g. personal statements, transcripts, GPA calculations, grad audits) were explained to new members by Jannette.
- Adam Volin established as contact person for any issues related to committee website.
- Committee members will arrange a time to meet in the Fall via an online poll after the meeting.
- Sujun clarified that the Secretary role does not involve release time; only Chair would.
- Nominations for new Secretary as of Fall 2024 were invited. No nominations were made.
- Jannette was nominated to continue as Chair and accepted the nomination.
- Committee members discussed decisions for the day’s applications.
- “AFSI” – Indicator for student who is ineligible for Fresh Start because they have enrolled at a different institution.
- WU grades can be appealed on a transcript if student chooses, with the aid of Jankee.
- Addendum was reviewed and revised, to be posted on webpage.
- Members made plans to meet on July 18 from 12-2 PM over Zoom.
