Committee Meeting Dates

During Academic Year 2019-2020 the Bylaws committee met September 25, 2019, October 23, 2019, November 20, 2019, December 11, 2019 [electronic vote], January 29, 2020, February 26, 2020, April 8, 2020 and May 13, 2020.


Narrative summary of committee work

In the Fall of 2019 the Bylaws Committee focused on updating the Colleges Bylaws to reflect all previously approved changes.  It was noted by members MD Shahadat and Weier Ye that many bylaws changes shown in the Minutes were not reflected in the Colleges bylaws.  The bylaws were updated.  Additionally, at the November 2019 meeting the Academic Steering Committee provided changes to reflect annual written reports will be to inform the Academic Steering Committee and the Archivist prior to the first meeting in September... and the first discussion ensued on the split of the Committee on Pre-College, Continuing Education and Workforce Development into two separate committees. The December 2019 meeting the committee electronically voted and approved with some added language to split the Committee on Pre-College, Continuing Education and Workforce Development into two separate committees.April 8 we were provided from the Steering Committees with additional changes regarding the split of the committees and in addition the Steering committee also approved staggered terms for the standing committees.  This was also approved by the Bylaws committee.  At the May 2020 meeting we voted on the final changes related to the split of the Committee on Pre-College, Continuing Education and Workforce Development into two separate committees. We held elections for the new Chairperson, Dr. Urszula Golebiewska, and Secretary, Dr. Franca Ferrari.
