  2. Two corrections on the minutes for May 3, 2023, a typo on Yusuf’s name and the name for the office Accessibility Services should be corrected.
  3. Updates
  1. Welcome Gissette Forte, VP of Finance
  2. Child Care Center at the QCC: The information was submitted to CUNY central. The construction work will begin in Spring 2024. however, the operation time still needs to be determined. The search for the director of the center will be done by early next year.
  3. Braille signage for classrooms and bathrooms: There is no machine to print the signs; however, missing bathroom signage should be reported. There is missing signage in the Humanities’ building.
  4. ENVELOP funding and Humanities Building mosquito screens progress: Faculty and staff want to have the screen in all windows. The funding for window improvement is allocated with a 4- year projection. The Buildings and Grounds department started analyzing and repairing the windows throughout campus. However, putting screens in all windows is not possible because of the practicality. The window frames in the Humanities’ building can’t accommodate adding mosquito screens and will need to be completely replaced. The budget can’t accommodate this improvement.
  5. ADA restroom renovation alternative that is within budget and avoids relocating equipment risers: It was funded, and the goal is to be started in one month. The budget was designated 6 million a couple of years ago.
  6. Clara Wajngurt: PSC Health & Safety: The ramps behind the library budlings should be checked for safety standards. One of the old ramps is not accessible and should be shut down. All ramps should be safe for all types of wheelchairs.
  7. Parking lots gates: After COVID-19, gate 3 has been closed. Since the gate needs staffing to be operated, the entrance will be closed for a while. At all gates, all visitors and students should show ID cards.
  8. Unresolved Issues;
    1. All the elevators in the Humanities’ building are operating properly at the time of this meeting.
    2. In order to address issues in a timely manner all problems must be reported as soon as possible.

  1. Other Business: The ventilation situation in rooms 201 and 202 in the GYM building was discussed.
