The Academic Senate Committee on Curriculum met on February 25, 2020 at 2:10 pm in S-417

Business:

The meeting was called to order at 2:10 PM

  1. The minutes of the February 18, 2020 meeting were approved by the committee. 
  1. The committee discussed the new courses CS-102: “Spreadsheet Programming with MS Excel” and CS-103: “Relational Databases with SQL”, previously submitted by the Mathematics and Computer Science Department. The committee will consider these courses again at a future meeting. 
  1. The committee considered the following courses from the Art and Design Department (remedial prerequisite revisions only):

    ARTS-132 Introduction to Art Therapy
    ARTH-100 Introductory Survey of Art
    ARTH-101 History of Art I
    ARTH-115 Modern Art
    ARTH-116 American Art
    ARTH-117 History of Photography
    ARTH-120 Contemporary Art
    ARTH-126 History of Asian Art
    ARTH-128 History of African Arts

    After discussing the proposals, the committee voted and the proposals were approved unanimously by those present. 
  1. The committee considered the proposed course revision for CRIM-102:“” After discussing the proposal, the committee voted and the proposal was approved unanimously by those present. 

The meeting was adjourned at 4:00 PM.
