The Academic Senate Committee on CURRICULUM COMMITTEE met on February 26, 2019 at 2:10 pm in H-239


Committee Members in Attendance:

T. Bayer, A. Corradetti (Academic Affairs), T. Holden (Chair), I. Lizzul, J. Murley, J. Nichols, J. Petersen, E. Volchok, P. Wallach (Secretary), R. Yuster


Business:

The meeting was called to order at 2:10 PM

  1. The minutes of the January 29, 2019 meeting were approved by the committee. 
  1. The committee considered the proposed new course BE-102: “Developing Competence in College Reading, Writing, and Study Skills.” After discussing the proposal, the committee voted and the proposal was approved unanimously by those present. 
  1. The committee considered the proposed course revision for PH-422: “General Calculus Physics B.” After discussing the proposal, the committee voted and the proposal was approved unanimously by those present. 
  1. The committee considered the proposed new course BI-203: “Cell Biology.” There were questions about the course; the proposal will be sent back to the Department of Biological Sciences & Geology. 
  1. The committee considered the proposed new program revision of Associate in Science Degree in Biology. There were questions about the program; the proposal will be sent back to the Department of Biological Sciences & Geology. 

The meeting was adjourned at 4:00 PM.
