The Academic Senate Committee on Curriculum met on March 15, 2022 at 2:10 pm in S-322 and online via Blackboard Collaborate

Business:
The meeting was called to order at 2:10 PM
- The minutes of the February 22, 2022 meeting were approved by the committee.
- The committee welcomed Dr. Andrea Salis, Chair of the Health, Physical Education, and Dance Department, and Dr. Anuradha Srivastava from the Department of Biological Sciences and Geology to discuss proposals for their departments.
- The committee discussed the proposed program revision of the Liberal Arts and Sciences – Associate in Arts (A.A.) Degree. After discussing the proposal, the committee voted, and the proposal was approved unanimously by those present.
- The committee discussed the proposed program revision of the A.S. in Public Health. After discussing the proposal, the committee voted, and the proposal was approved unanimously by those present.
- The committee discussed the proposed course revision of BI-522: “Applied Biostatistics.” After discussing the proposal, the committee voted, and the proposal was approved unanimously by those present.

The committee welcomed Dr. Jeffery Jankowski, Chair of the Department of Social Sciences to discuss the program revision of the Psychology – Associate in Science (A.S.) Degree. After discussing the proposal, the committee voted, and the proposal was approved unanimously by those present.
- The committee welcomed Dr. Georgia McGill, Chair of the Department of Communication, Theatre, & Media Production, to discuss proposals for the department.
- The committee considered the proposal for the new course SP-217 Business Communication.” After discussing the proposal, the committee voted, and the proposal was approved unanimously by those present.

The committee welcomed Hamid Namdar Chair, Belle Birchfield, and Steve Trowbridge of the Engineering Technology Department to discuss proposals for their department.

ET-721 Software Development Practicum
TECH-931, 932 Cooperative Education in Engineering Technology
After discussing the proposals, the committee voted, and the proposals were approved unanimously by those present. -
The committee discussed the proposed course revisions:
ET-710 Front-End UI/UX Web Development
ET-712 JavaScript Programming: Client and Server
ET-713 Full Stack Web Development
After discussing the proposals, the committee voted, and the proposals were approved unanimously by those present. -
The committee discussed the proposed program revision of the Internet and Information Technology – A.A.S. Degree Program. After discussing the proposal, the committee voted, and the proposal was approved unanimously by those present.
The meeting was adjourned at 4:00 PM.
