The Academic Senate Committee on Curriculum met on April 20, 2021 at 2:00 pm online via Blackboard Collaborate


Committee Members in Attendance:

Business:

The meeting was called to order at 2:00 PM

  1. The minutes of the April 6, 2021 meeting were approved by the committee.

  2. Belle Birchfield, Deputy Chair, Engineering Technology Department, discussed course revisions with the committee.

  3. The committee discussed the following courses revisions from the Engineering Technology Department:


    ET-704 Networking Fundamentals I
    ET-705 Networking Fundamentals II
    ET-725 Computer Network Security
    ET-502 Introduction to Computer Programming
    ET-575 Introduction to C++ Programming Design and Implementation

    After discussing the proposals, the committee voted, and the proposals were approved unanimously by those present. 

  4. Georgia McGill, Chair, Speech Communication & Theatre Arts discussed the department change of name to Communication, Theatre, & Media Production with the committee. After discussing the proposal, the committee voted, and the proposal was approved unanimously by those present.

  5. The committee discussed the report from the first meeting of the Subcommittee of Committee on Curriculum on Computer Courses and Programs.

    The meeting was adjourned at 3:40 PM.
