The Academic Senate Committee on CURRICULUM COMMITTEE met on November 20, 2018 at 2:10 pm in H-230


Committee Members in Attendance:

Business:

The meeting was called to order at 2:10 PM

  1. The minutes of the October 30, 2018 meeting were approved by the committee. 
  1. The committee discussed minor revisions to Form 2 for ADA compliance. 
  1. The committee discussed the draft of the Fall 2017 and Spring 2018 General Education Assessment of artifacts report. The chair will send the committee’s suggestions to the General Education Committee. 
  1. The committee considered the proposed course revision for LS-112: “Elementary Spanish II.” After discussing the proposal, the committee voted and the proposal was approved unanimously by those present. 
  1. The committee considered the proposed course revision for LS-161: “Spanish for Medical Personnel I.” After discussing the proposal, the committee voted and the proposal was approved unanimously by those present. 
  1. The committee considered the proposed course revision for BI-357: “Bioinformatics and Computational Biology.” After discussing the proposal, the committee voted and the proposal was approved unanimously by those present. 
  1. The committee considered the proposed program revision of the Environmental Science – Associate in Science (A.S.). After discussing the proposal, the committee voted and the proposal was approved unanimously by those present. 
  1. The committee considered the proposed program revision of the Liberal Arts and Science (Mathematics and Science) After discussing the proposal, the committee did not vote. 

The meeting was adjourned at 3:45 PM.
