Agenda-11-06-19

Agenda

Date: Wednesday, November 06, 2019

Location: 3PM-4PM, S-316

  1. Welcome to new committee member, Christina Manzo.

  1. Minutes from previous meeting.

  1. First meeting of new Sub-Committee on the Academic Aspects of the QCC Website. Report from Kwang and Aviva about meeting.

  1. Report on Faculty Handbook.

Consensus from Liza Larios and David Moretti that the Handbooks can now exist only online, and we do not need to have hard copies. Phil made the observation that there is a lot of duplicate information in the online version of the Faculty Handbook. He observed that many of the items in the Handbook should simply be links to existing pages in the QCC site, rather than duplicate places for the information. This will make it easier to update the information and ensure there are no disparities.

See attached color screen shots of Phil’s email. Blue - items should be links to existing pages in the QCC website. Yellow – items need to be updated.

Aviva can discuss change with David. Task for Committee members  –  divide up the parts of the website that need attention among Committee members. Each member will  present to Committee either changes for the pages (changes don’t have to be made by the Committee member, but by which ever department manages this information) or the link to the existing page in the college site for the items in blue. Can we have that done by the next meeting?

  1. Faculty Survey on theHandbook. See attached survey from Kerri-Ann and Phil. Are we ready to send it to the FEC?

  1. Any other business?

  1. Next meeting 12/4/19 3-4pm.

  1. Remember meeting time for next semester will be the first Wednesday of each academic month from 2-3pm.
