The Academic Senate Committee on Publications met on Friday, February 19, 2020, 3:00 PM-4:00 PM, via Webex


Committee Members in Attendance:

Aviva Geismar (Chair), Vazgen Shekoyan (Secretary), Kwang Hyun Kim, Kerri-Ann M. Smith, Christina Manzo


Liaisons in Attendance:

VP Stephen DiDio (President’s Liaison), Phil Pecorino (Steering Committee Designee)


Business:

The meeting was called to order at 03:05 PM

The minutes from the previous meeting were approved.

 

The chair informed the committee that she cannot be an official member of the committee next year, however she will be the Steering Committee Designee. Phil Pecorino is not going to continue in an official position on the Committee next year, but he will assist in completing the work on the Faculty Handbook. The committee also discussed its options on the future continuation of its sub-committee of webmasters. The subcommittee meeting will be taking place on May 13.

 

We discussed the Committee Guide and the need to revise it from the currently used 2007 version. Keri-Ann and Christina volunteered to work on it in cooperation with the steering committee.

 

Aviva and Phil updated the committee on the progress of Faculty Handbook revision work. With the help of FEC and Phil, Faculty Surveys have been conducted, and the raw data has been shared with the committee members. Christina volunteered to analyze the survey results.

 

Meeting adjourned at approximately 3:43 pm.
