Grace McGee the coordinator from NYPIRG introduced herself and the organization to the faculty committee to make them aware of the work they are doing on campus. She expressed interest in having a table at the volunteer fair. A registration form will be sent to NYPIRG.
A discussion of meeting times for the semester was made. The committee will meet on the second Tuesday of the month when possible at a rotating time to accommodate as many peoples schedules as possible. Because of the lack of available Tuesdays during September the September meeting will be held on a different day of the week.
Arrangements for the Volunteer Fair were made.
- Each member of the committee will contact organizations that attended the volunteer fair from last year. The registration form and script from last year will be sent to each faculty member to be used to contact the organizations

- We will serve popcorn again by Bring in the Clowns with an estimated cost of $395 as that was the cost from last year. The chair will contact them to reserve the date and get a recent quote. VP Kerr has agreed to contribute funds for this as well as SGA. Once a quote is given the final contributions will be determined.
- The committee discussed having a DJ present. Noise concerns were raised about the music in the quad. In order to keep the cost and the volume to a minimum we will create a playlist and use college sound equipment to play some music to bring students to the event.
The chair made a presentation at the SGA board meeting on Monday August 27. The SGA president John Mondal discussed some of the important initiatives that SGA would like to accomplish this semester. It was decided that the committee will work with SGA on two main initiatives
