Course Description in college catalog:
Provides a basic understanding of the effects of major illnesses and injuries. Provision of emergency care is the focus. Students successfully completing this course will be eligible to receive an American Heart Association First Aid Certificate.

Students will demonstrate the knowledge and skills required in most emergency situations.

Students will describe first aid for major sudden illness including heart attack, stroke, fainting, convulsions, and diabetic reactions.
