Community Standards Matter

  • Incidents/Safety concerns on-campus contact the QCC Office of Public Safety, by picking up one of the red phones on campus, or calling (718) 631-6320. You can also complete a report in person by visiting their office located in the Library Bldg. 3rd Floor (near the flag pole).

  • Behavioral Reporting Form

  • Incidents/Safety concerns off-campus should be directed to your local law enforcement, NYPD, or in case of emergency dial 911.

  • Once a report is received by the Office of Student Affairs-Office of Student Conduct, an investigation will begin into the matter of concern.

  • The designated community standards staff member in coordination with the Office of Public Safety, Title IX Coordinator, Counseling Center, Dean's Office, Vice President for Student Affairs, and other areas and personnel as needed, will review and evaluate all reports, statements, video or other electronic media, and meet with any witnesses/complainants.

  • Once an investigation has concluded the matter will be referred to mediation or to a hearing in front of the Faculty Student Disciplinary Committee (FSDC).

  • Article 15 of The City University of New York (CUNY) discusses the overall student conduct policy utilized at the college. Visit, CUNY's Bylaws site for a detailed description of CUNY policies and procedures.

General Student Concern

-The Behavior Intervention Team (BIT) is a collaborative group with the mission of: (A) Coordinating a systematic response to students whose behavior is disruptive to themselves or the environment or students exhibiting threatening, homicidal and suicidal behaviors. (B) Supporting student success via educational, rather than punitive means. (C) Encouraging a culture of reporting.
