Dr. Hong Memorial Award

Date Established: 1993

Purpose: To honor the memory of Dr. Choon-Shick Hong

Award Scholarship Criteria:

  • Matriculated in an A.A. or A.S. program.
  • Completed 24 credits.
  • Completed 9 credits in courses offered by the Social Science Department.
  • Minimum GPA in courses applied to satisfy the degree requirements of 3.8.
  • Certify that they are planning to return for one more semesters.

Dr. Naphtaly Levy Scholarship

Date Established: 1990

Purpose: To honor the memory of Naphtaly Levy.

Scholarship Award Criteria:

  • A.A. or A.S. degree recipient with at least one course in Political Science and with the highest GPA.

Dr. Mary McDougal Memorial Fund

Date Established: 1979

Purpose: To honor the memory of Mary McDougal.

Scholarship Award Criteria:

  • A.A. or A.S. degree recipient with at least one course in Economics and with the highest GPA.

Theresa P. Singer Memorial Scholarship

Date Established: 1999

Purpose: To honor the memory of Theresa P. Singer.
Scholarship Award Criteria:
  • A.A. or A.S. degree recipient
  • Queens County resident with the Highest GPA
