Johns Hopkins University’s 2023 Richard Macksey National Undergraduate Humanities Research Symposium
Queensborough Community College students are invited to apply for Johns Hopkins University’s 2023 Richard Macksey National Undergraduate Humanities Research Symposium.
Held March 24-25 at the Johns Hopkins Homewood campus, it is an annual symposium hosting students from across the nation interested in presenting their scholarship. The conference will include research presentations from 150 undergraduates, and the opportunity to submit a paper to the Macksey Journal, where it will be peer-reviewed with one-on-one editing help. The Keynote Speaker is Dr. Kelly Carter-Jackson. Her website is http://www.kelliecarterjackson.com/about.
Applications are invited from undergraduates currently enrolled at any two- or four-year college, university, or community college. Conference presentations will be a maximum of ten minutes long and can consist of reading a paper (approximately 1,200-1,500 words) and/or presenting a PowerPoint slideshow.

SACNAS 2019 - The National Diversity in STEM Conference
The Society for Advancement of Chicanos/Hispanics and Native Americans (SACNAS) is an inclusive organization with over 45 years of experience fostering, from college students to professionals, in attaining advanced degrees, careers, and positions of leadership in STEM. SACNAS serves approximately 6,000 members, a larger community of 20,000, and with 115 SACNAS student and professional chapters throughout the U.S. and Puerto Rico.
Join them from October 31 - November 2 in Honolulu, Hawai'i for the largest multidisciplinary and multicultural STEM diversity event in the country. 2019 SACNAS is a 3-day conference which serves to equip, empower, and energize participants for their academic and professional paths in STEM. SUNY Undergraduate Research Conference - SURC 2019
SURC is a multidisciplinary event that brings together undergraduates and faculty mentors from across the state for a full day of activities. Students from all academic disciplines are encouraged to submit proposals to present their original research (oral presentation or poster); creative writing; visual art; music performance and composition; dance choreography; theatrical script, or other work. All students submitting proposals must work with a faculty mentor on their campus before submitting a proposal.
