ST-100: – INTRODUCTION TO COLLEGE LIFE
ST-100 is designed to introduce new students to Queensborough Community College. Students receive valuable information on time management, study skills, dealing with stress, career exploration, academy information, college policies, grading information, and much more. ST-100 is a 0 credit, partially online (PNET) course, which runs for a duration of 5 weeks.
*This class is open to all members of the college community, and is mandatory for all new full time freshmen. ST 101 may be substituted for ST 100.
ST-101: – STRATEGIES FOR COLLEGE SUCCESS
ST-101 is full semester elective course that is open to all first year students and those with 15 or fewer credits. Students will earn 1 credit while learning how to improve their study skills, manage their schedule more effectively, discover successful test-taking strategies, learn to negotiate their way through Queensborough, as well as how to choose a career, academy information, and navigate the QCC website. You will become a master student with this course!
**ST-101 meets face to face, two hours per week, for the full semester. ST-101 may be taken in lieu of ST-100 by students in curricula with free electives such as Liberal Arts and Sciences – Liberal Studies Concentration and by students in other curricula, as long as ST-101 is not a part of the first 12 credits.
