Policy for Recruitment of Participants for Surveys

Policy for recruitment of QCC Faculty/Student participants to survey/collect data from:


If the researcher is external to CUNY: We do not allow researchers outside of CUNY to collect data from our students/faculty.

  1. If the researcher is from CUNY and the PI wants to collect data from faculty:
    1. The PI should forward the following information to the Interim Human Subjects Research Protection Program (HRPP) Coordinator, Fanny Ennever, University Research Compliance Officer, ([email protected]): current IRB approval, a brief summary of the research, a list of the benefits of the study to our faculty, provide the recruitment method, and the research procedure.
    2. After the items listed above are received and reviewed by the HRPP coordinator, the research request will be forwarded to Provost Dr. Phyllis Curtis-Tweed ([email protected]) for approval.
    3. If Provost Curtis-Tweed approves, then the PI will be allowed to collect data.

 

  1. If the researcher is from CUNYand the PI wants to collect data from students:

  1. After the items listed above are received and reviewed by the HRPP coordinator, the research request will be forwarded to VP for student Affairs & Enrollment Management, Brian Mitra ([email protected]for approval.
  2. If VP Mitra approves, then the PI will be allowed to collect data.
